I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
